The digital edition of “Volume Six (Evanescence) Deluxe Edition” is out now! This is an expanded version of the album that brings its vocal recordings together with instrumental counterparts. The Deluxe Edition is available now across major streaming platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, iTunes and Amazon Music Unlimited, while a physical double-CD edition is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026.
Rather than simply adding a handful of bonus tracks, the Deluxe Edition presents another perspective on the album. Its expanded format places the original vocal material alongside instrumental versions that allow the melodies, arrangements and overall atmosphere of the recordings to take greater prominence.
The album encompasses romance, nostalic first love, longing, changing relationships and the passage of time, with its title track, “Evanescence,” establishing one of the project’s central ideas: that beauty, moments and experiences can be meaningful precisely because they do not remain unchanged forever. That theme is reflected visually in the album artwork, which juxtaposes youth and age within a single portrait.
Across the project, however, the material moves through a much broader range of stories and settings. Songs such as “Ghost Of Memory Past,” “Too Many Things Remind Me Of You (Déjà Vu)” and “A Promise Kept (Oath)” explore different relationships with memory and the emotional traces left behind by the past. “October Once More” turns toward autumn romance, while “The First Date (Album Edit)” focuses on the beginnings of a relationship.
Elsewhere, “The Love Of Jonathan Harker (Album Edit)” introduces a darker literary and Gothic dimension, while “Gold Digger,” “I Love You,” “Why Do You Love Me? (Album Edit)” and “You Don’t Realize How Perfect You Are To Me (Artemis)” broaden the album’s examination of attraction, affection and relationships. The result is a collection that moves between romantic, reflective and darker dramatic territory rather than remaining within a single narrative.
A Second Life for the Music Without the Vocals
One of the defining additions to the Deluxe Edition is its collection of instrumental tracks. Removing the vocals changes the emphasis of familiar material, allowing listeners to concentrate on the melodies, pacing, instrumentation and emotional shifts that support the songs.
The instrumental collection includes versions of “Evanescence,” “Gold Digger,” “You Don’t Realize How Perfect You Are To Me (Artemis),” “Too Many Things Remind Me Of You (Déjà Vu),” “A Promise Kept (Oath),” “I Love You,” “The First Date,” “October Once More,” “The Love Of Jonathan Harker” and “Why Do You Love Me?”
“Ghost Of Memory Past” is represented through “Aerial,” an instrumental interpretation associated with the song. Together, the instrumental material effectively provides a companion listening experience to the main album rather than functioning solely as conventional bonus material.
That distinction becomes especially apparent when the songs are heard without lyrics. Musical passages that naturally sit behind a vocal performance become the primary focus, while recurring melodies can be experienced independently of the stories conveyed through the words.
