Volume Three (A Promise Kept): A Timeless Journey Through Love, Memory, and the Promises We Carry

Some promises are never spoken aloud. Others are made in moments of love and innocence, only to endure long after the circumstances surrounding them have changed. Such is the central theme of my album, “Volume Three (A Promise Kept),” a collection of ten songs exploring the delicate relationship between love, remembrance, destiny, and the passage of time.

Originally released on February 2, 2025, Volume Three (A Promise Kept) creates an interconnected collection of fictional stories. Each composition explores a different dimension of human connection, from the exhilaration of discovering love to the quiet sorrow of separation and the enduring significance of memories that refuse to fade.

Now available as a Softpack Sleeve CD Wallet through ElasticStage, the album takes on a new physical form, offering listeners and collectors an opportunity to experience its musical storytelling beyond the digital streaming environment.

For a limited time, this CD edition also includes the vinyl-exclusive versions of “A Promise Kept” and “Do You Still Love Me?”—two special recordings currently unavailable on any digital streaming platform. Their inclusion makes this physical release particularly appealing to listeners seeking versions of these songs that cannot presently be heard through conventional streaming services.

A Promise That Transcends Time

At the heart of the album is its title track, “A Promise Kept,” a composition centered on a promise made beneath a great oak tree, where two young lovers once shared their dreams and imagined a future together.

The story unfolds across the passage of years, exploring how circumstances can separate two people whose lives were once closely intertwined. While one person eventually moves forward into a different chapter of life, the other continues to honor a promise made long ago.

The oak tree becomes more than a physical setting. It symbolizes innocence, devotion, and the preservation of memories, standing as a silent witness to a love that once flourished beneath its branches.

Through this fictional narrative, I wanted to explore a universal question: Can a promise retain its meaning even when the future it was meant to protect never comes to pass?

The answer is left for listeners to discover through the music and the story itself.

Ten Songs, Ten Perspectives on Love

Although the title track establishes the album’s emotional foundation, the remaining nine compositions expand its themes through distinct yet complementary narratives.

“Do You Still Love Me?” explores the uncertainty that follows emotional distance, when unanswered questions begin to overshadow what once seemed certain. “I Look For You Everywhere” examines the instinct to search for someone who has disappeared from one’s life, while “I Know Your Words” considers how familiar expressions and conversations can remain deeply embedded in memory.

In “Our Secret Place,” the imagery of a cherished magical place becomes a metaphor for intimacy, nostalgia, and the private worlds people create together. The song captures the enduring significance of places that become inseparable from the memories associated with them.

“The Love Of The Sun And The Moon” takes a more celestial approach, using the relationship between two heavenly bodies to explore devotion, distance, and the possibility of love existing beyond conventional boundaries.

One of the album’s more contemplative compositions, “Too Many Things Remind Me Of You,” examines how ordinary experiences can unexpectedly awaken memories of someone who is no longer present. A familiar song, a passing conversation, or a simple cup of coffee can become a powerful reminder of a connection that once shaped an imagined world.

“I Am Far From Perfect But I’ll Be Perfect For You” introduces themes of vulnerability, acceptance, and the desire to become a better partner despite human imperfections.

Meanwhile, “The Timing Just Wasn’t Right For Us” reflects on the painful reality that meaningful connections do not always unfold under favorable circumstances. Sometimes, the obstacle is not the absence of affection but the inability of two lives to align at the same moment.

The album concludes with “Our Fate Was Written In The Stars,” returning to the idea of destiny and the possibility that certain encounters carry significance beyond what can be immediately understood.

Together, these ten compositions form a musical exploration of love in its many imagined forms: hopeful, uncertain, devoted, nostalgic, bittersweet, and enduring.

Where Poetry Meets Melody

My approach to Volume Three (A Promise Kept) centers on allowing poetry and music to complement one another.

Rather than treating lyrics simply as words accompanying a melody, each composition is structured around a narrative with its own emotional progression, imagery, and thematic purpose.

The musical arrangements provide an additional dimension to these stories, allowing melodies, instrumentation, and vocal expression to communicate nuances that extend beyond the written text.

Across the album, romantic pop ballads and cinematic musical textures create an atmosphere that moves between tenderness, melancholy, reflection, and hope.

The intention is to offer more than a collection of individual songs. It is to create a cohesive listening experience in which each composition contributes to a broader exploration of the human imagination and the universal language of love.

Two Vinyl-Exclusive Recordings, Now Available on CD for a Limited Time

One of the distinguishing features of this Softpack Sleeve CD Wallet edition is the inclusion of two vinyl-exclusive versions of “A Promise Kept” and “Do You Still Love Me?”

These special editions were previously exclusive to the vinyl format and are now being made available to CD listeners for a limited time.

Their inclusion provides an additional reason to explore the physical release, especially for listeners already familiar with the original digital album.

Both songs occupy important positions within the album’s narrative. “A Promise Kept” establishes its central themes of devotion, remembrance, and enduring commitment, while “Do You Still Love Me?” explores the uncertainty and emotional vulnerability that can emerge when love becomes clouded by distance and unanswered questions.

Presenting these vinyl-exclusive editions on CD allows listeners to revisit these compositions through alternative recordings while preserving their place within the album’s larger musical story.

For collectors who appreciate exclusive physical releases, this limited-time availability also adds a distinctive dimension to the CD edition.

Bringing the Album to Life on CD

In an era dominated by digital streaming, physical music continues to hold a distinctive appeal.

A CD is more than a means of playing recorded music. It is also a collectible representation of an artistic work, bringing together sound, visual presentation, and the tangible experience of owning an album.

The Softpack Sleeve CD Wallet edition of “Volume Three (A Promise Kept)”, now available through ElasticStage, presents the album in a compact physical format complemented by its visual artwork.

With the additional inclusion of two vinyl-exclusive recordings, this edition offers something beyond the standard streaming experience: access to versions of the music that are not presently available digitally.

For collectors, physical editions offer something that streaming cannot fully replicate: the opportunity to hold an album, appreciate its design, and preserve it as part of a personal music collection.

The album’s romantic winter imagery, particularly the recurring symbolism of the great oak tree, further connects its visual presentation with the fictional narratives found throughout its songs.
