Volume Six (Evanescence) Vinyl Format Coming October 1st

by Christopher Louie Poetry

A new chapter in my evolving musical catalog is arriving in vinyl format. On October 1st, Volume Six (Evanescence) makes its official vinyl debut, translating an intricate tapestry of sound and story into a physical medium designed for deep, intentional listening. This marks the first time my music is released on vinyl.

United by themes of love, memory, heartbreak, longing, deception, devotion, and emotional transformation, the album presents a collection designed to feel both intimately familiar and newly rediscovered. At its core, Volume Six (Evanescence) challenges listeners to see past glowing exteriors, proving that the beauty we are hypnotized by is only skin-deep. It is an exploration of what remains after the surface has disappeared.

Moving effortlessly between romance and regret, attraction and disillusionment, memory and detachment, devotion and vulnerability, the songs pose a profound, recurring question: what qualities endure when everything temporary eventually fades?

The answer, as the album reveals, is found not in appearances, possessions, fleeting attraction, or idealized images, but in the qualities that cannot be measured by the eye. Love, kindness, compassion, sincerity, and the ability to care for another person carry a permanence that physical beauty alone can never provide.

The Vinyl Experience: Curated Tracklist

Due to the physical limitations of the vinyl format—restricted to roughly 23 minutes per side—this vinyl release features a carefully curated selection of eight standout tracks from the standard album. To fit the physical constraints of vinyl, the main version of “Ghost Of Memory Past” has been replaced by the “Declaration Remix (Pt.2)”.

The tracks omitted from this vinyl release previously appeared on Volume Three (A Promise Kept) album, though those versions featured different sonic interpretations of the same poems. These included “A Promise Kept (Oath)” and “Too Many Things Remind Me Of You (Déjà Vu).” Additionally, while “I Love You” is a newer song that has never been released as part of a full-length album before, it unfortunately had to be left off this project. Space was reserved instead for “You Don’t Realize How Perfect You Are To Me (Artemis),” which is one of my personal favorites and best-performing tracks. Looking ahead, the plan is to bring these three missing songs, along with the main version of Ghost Of Memory Past, together for a dedicated future vinyl release.
